Week 12- Vigilance

The Price of Success~

Everyone would say they want success.  Why wouldn’t they?  No one wants to fail. Yet, most of the time, our actions betray our words.  It takes much more than words to succeed.  We must have vigilance to our ideals.  We also must press forward, always.  It’s the only way to keep from going backwards.  Three steps that are essential for all who wish to succeed at anything:  first, we must have knowledge of our power; second, we must have courage to dare; and third, the faith to take action.  With these three things, we can construct anything…..an ideal presentation, and ideal home, or whatever else can be imagined.

Beware of Roadblocks~

There are numerous roadblocks  along the journey to the life we really wish to live, but unfortunately, the majority of people live most of their lives here.  Indecision, negative thoughts, fear, discouragement, anxiety, and the like…occupy many a mind.  These things reap more of the same, which keeps the vicious cycle going. There also are counterfeits of thought, such as telephathy, hypnotism,  phenomena seekers, etc., give temporary satisfaction but lack true power.

An Irresistible Power~

We know that all natural laws are irresistible, such as the law of gravity, or the law of electricity. There is no variation in the natural law.  Each operates with mathematical exactitude. I liked Haanel’s analogy that if a bridge were to fall, we would not attribute the collapse to any variation of the law of gravity.  It is the channel of distribution that is imperfect, not the law. Neither do we say that the law of electricity has failed us, if a light fails.  Just as natural laws are irresistible, so is the law of love or attraction. Haanel told us, “It is the operation of this marvelous law of attraction which has caused men in all ages and all times, to believe that there must be some personal being (God) who responded to their petitions and desires, and manipulated events in order to comply with their requirements.”  We too, are an imperfect channel, however, with His love we can be whimsical and attractive.  Haanel also said, “Feeling imparts vitality to thought.  Feeling is desire and desire is love. Thought impregnated with love becomes invincible.”

Everything is better with love~

  1. Thank you. Your blog reinforces lesson Mark & Davene have been sharing – the layered learning & repetition will get us there – to our goal. Are some of your roadblocks like mine, in fancy dress so I do not recognise them as roadblocks initially?

  2. i agree; great summary of the week:
    vigilance is the key:
“Indecision, negative thoughts, fear, discouragement, anxiety, and the like…occupy many a mind. These things reap more of the same, which keeps the vicious cycle going…”

  3. Hi Charlene
I love your last line especially… “Thought impregnated with love becomes invincible”.
Everything you write is tinged with the love for this process. Thank you for your insights 🙂
